TNCC President Meeting with Minister attached to the Prime Minister’s office

Monday 8th May, our newly elected President Ms Aina Eidsvik joined other members of the Joint Foreign Chamber of Commerce in Thailand (JFCCT) for a Courtesy Dialogue Meeting with His Excellency Dr. Suvit Maesincee, Minister attached to the Prime Minister’s office.

Members of the Joint Foreign Chambers had a chance to meet with His Excellency and staff and discuss some of the issues that the JFCCT are working on in Thailand. JFCCT has always sought to contribute to the economy in positive ways via dialogue and engagement. The Thai – Norwegian Chamber is an active participant in all JFCCT committees.

In Monday’s meeting the JFCCT raised issues they are working on such as changing regulations about visa and work permits, changing the law about ‘work’ , capacity building through skilling, transfer of knowhow, law making consultation process and ‘doing business’ enhancements. A background briefing / talking points information memo was provided for JFCCT participants. His Excellency encouraged private sector participation in the ‘guillotine’ to faster-track reforms.
